Netflix-codes

Hoe leuk een filmavondje met de meiden ook is, vaak zijn we een groot gedeelte van de avond bezig met het uitkiezen van de beste film. We scrollen als een kip zonder kop door de app heen en vinden het lastig om een keuze te maken. Er staan tenslotte meer dan 4.000 films en series op Netflix Nederland. Pff, om het zoeken naar de juiste film of serie makkelijker en sneller te maken, heeft Netflix een tool bedacht.

De makers van Netflix hebben elke films en serie een bepaalde code toegewezen. Deze codes horen bij een specifieke categorie en maken het makkelijker om ze te groeperen. Deze handige Netflix-codes bestaan al sinds dat zij dvd’s leverden aan huis. Inmiddels zijn er wel 36.000 (!) codes.

Hoe werkt dit precies en hoe kan je het nu zelf toepassen? Het is heel eenvoudig. Vind een specifiek genre door het volgende in de webbrowser in te tikken. “Netflix.com/browse/genre/..” en voeg op de stippelpuntjes de gewenste ID-code toe. Easy, right?

Viral hack op TikTok

Veel mensen hebben deze handige hack al uitgeprobeerd en er was één Netflix-code die door velen aan het einde van de URL werd ingevuld. Namelijk ‘9875’. Deze code ging viraal, want hiermee krijg je alle true crime en misdaaddocumentaires te zien. Hoe cool?! Momenteel is dit natuurlijk een erg gewild genre. We kennen allemaal het verhaal van Ted Bundy, Jeffrey Dahmer en de Nightstalker. Maar er zijn nog veel meer interessante docu’s over seriemoordenaars of andere bekende criminelen.

Nu weten alle true crime lovers waar ze moeten zoeken voor een nieuwe documentaire, maar niet iedereen houdt daarvan. Gelukkig heeft iemand anders het harde werk voor ons al gedaan, want dit onderstaande lijstje kwamen we online tegen. Zo kun je per categorie, héél specifiek, zoeken naar jouw smaak.
